After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 1991, Dr Janneman de Bruijn worked in the United Kingdom. On his return in 1994 he started working in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Tygerberg Hospital. In 2000 he completed his studies at Stellenbosch University. He is a registered Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and has been in full time private practice since 2001.

Being the only male in his household, his wife and daughters wittily describe him as “a good humoured gentleman very much in touch with his feminine side, a man appreciative of life’s finer things, an avid mountain biker and imaginative creative.”

To win a patient's trust at the first consultation is of the utmost importance to Dr De Bruijn. He believes that honesty is a crucial building block for a strong and lasting relationship with his patients.
